Hey friends and family! I can't believe it has been a whole month with no update. Lots to talk about!! :))
Saying goodbye to my sweet friends in Central Asia was so hard, but I was excited to be traveling again! Our first location was foundational in a lot of ways for our team. We grew able to boldly share the gospel and in learning how to serve obediently. We tasted and saw what being a part of God's work looks like in a new culture. God took me farther than I ever could have gone on my own strength and He revealed so much about who I am. He blessed me with some pretty special friendships that I will never forget.
Our travel day was pretty uneventful and we arrived in Egypt on Tuesday, December 6th!
We went from snow to sunny desert in one day haha. We were picked up from the airport and welcomed by the staff so warmly! I remember feeling so excited and joyful even on the first day with jet lag. We are being hosted by and working with a different organization for the two months here in Egypt. They are a sports focused ministry with the goal of empowering the new generation to transform the Egyptian community to live from the inside out. Their mission is to bring experiential learning to life through a fun environment. So our ministry here looks very different from the more scheduled ministry we were a part of in Central Asia.
Personally, the environment here is so exciting for me and I think my personality fits the Egyptian culture very well.
We have spent our first two weeks here serving in lots of different camps for kids, getting to know the staff, going to church, learning some Egyptian Arabic slang, experiencing some awesome sites, learning about this beautifully historical country, and trying lots of new foods. God has blessed us in so many different ways and I am just in awe of the generosity He pours out on me. I have already learned so much and I am so excited to be using my God-given gifts to encourage others.
Some of the recent beauty we've seen! ^

Team Picture! :)
Team prayer requests:
-It is a struggle to adjust to a new culture and ministry environment so just pray that we would all cling to Jesus!
-Pray that sickness would leave us alone!! Physical health and energy is so needed.
-Pray for opportunities and gospel centered conversations.
-Pray for Precious and her Visa so she can join us!!!!
Personal prayer requests/ praise reports:
-Pray that with Jesus' help I would continue to surrender the idols in my life.
-Pray for good long sleeps and Bible times!
-Praise Jesus for the way I am loving Egypt!! God is overwhelming me with His goodness and I am just so full of joy and excitement! Even though I am away from family and friends for the holidays, God has given me such a big peace about it. I am so content just to be all in wherever He is. This team is like my second fam and I am so blessed to have them.
That's all for now,
Megan <3
